Creating books for families are the most rewarding projects I work on. Whether you’ve created a story for your own children or grandchildren, a memoir or biography, it’s something special you’d like to immortalise.
This option means your book won’t be published for the world to see. Only your loved ones will have a copy, be that one copy or five, or twenty! Depends how big your family is!
Will you write it for me?
Nope. Sorry! I’m happy to proofread your book if you wish, but I can’t help you write your story down. The best person to do that is always you – but I can chat to you about it and help get you started.
Does it have to be proofread?
Also no. In many cases your story is better presented exactly how you wrote it down at the time, but if you’d like help by including proofreading we can certainly arrange that.
How much? (and how long?)
My flat rate for creating a book is £100. You will send me your finished book/diary in MS Word, plus any images, and I shall pull it all together and send you a copy in paperback or hardback. This price also includes any front cover designing, so everything is catered for to create your memory book. If you’d like more copies that’s no problem at all, and they will be available at print price. For example a 100 page A5 paperback book would be approximately £3-£4 (plus shipping) per book.
As for how long – that depends on many things. How booked in advance I am at the time, but also your word count. If it’s a long one and you want me to proofread it, it could take me a couple of weeks or even a few months. We can discuss timescale around your individual requirements.
